Lauri Kibuitsile: A chance for African writers to interact
Lauri Kibuitsile is a Caine Prize-nominated writer in Botswana, who has taken part in panel discussions on writing, ideas and inspiration.
‘I’ve really enjoyed the festival. I particularly liked the panel discussion about e-publishing that I was part of yesterday. It’s such an exciting area for writers, especially African writers.
I also enjoyed both of my events with the kids. Always fantastic fun!
As for the events I attended, I particularly enjoyed the poetry sessions with Lemn Sissay, as I’m trying to learn more about writing poetry. I also thought Lola Shoneyin’s session was fantastic.
For me, I was very honoured to be invited to the Storymoja Hay Festival. It has gained a reputation for writers on the continent in particular as an important event for African writers to meet each other and interact.’Tweet
