Hay 25- ‘The Way We Live Now’

Join our 25th Anniversary Global Questionnaire- ‘The Way We Live Now.’ #twwln

We have invited writers to ask big questions of you, our audience, and we’d love you to share your thoughts with us.

Ian McEwan once gave a great line about why he previews his novels here. He joked – ‘I don’t do research anymore, I ask the audience at Hay’. For our 25th anniversary we’ve turned the tables on the writers who normally appear onstage and have asked them to come up with 25 questions for us. Please join in online and make this playful questionnaire a real humdinger library of ideas and opinion.

Launch of the on-line questionnaire ‘The Way We Live Now’ began with an on-stage debate last night with Salman Rushdie, Niklas Frank, Elif Shafak, and Jim Al-Khalili talking to John Kampfner who asks ‘What freedoms are you prepared to trade for security?’ There are panels debating the questions posed at Hay all week-  event numbers 121, 181, 377, 429, 486 .

Radio 4′s Today programme  launched this project yesterday morning. To listen to please click here and to answer the questions yourself please click here.
